Comment l’utiliser

Paste the text you want to measure and run the tool. The text is scored exactly as pasted, so paste only the body copy you care about and leave navigation and footer text out of it.

Ce que cet outil vérifie

Total words, sentence count, average sentence length and a syllable-based readability score. Sentence boundaries are detected on full stops, question marks and exclamation marks, so abbreviations and decimal numbers can inflate the sentence count slightly.

Comment lire le résultat

An average of 15-20 words per sentence reads comfortably for most audiences. Averages above 25 suggest sentences worth splitting. The score is a CRY calculation, not an official Google metric, and carries no ranking weight on its own.

Exemples

Compare two drafts of the same landing page intro, or check a blog draft before publishing.

Cas d’usage

Useful for content editors, technical writers and teams simplifying corporate copy.

Erreurs fréquentes

The common mistake is treating readability as a target in itself. Technical documentation has legitimately long sentences, and shortening them artificially makes the text worse. The second is pasting menu and footer copy along with the body, which skews the average.

Les limites de cet outil

The tool only sees the text you paste. It cannot crawl a URL, judge heading structure, weigh text against images, or know how much of the page is actually read. Syllable counting is heuristic and drifts on compound and loan words.

Confidentialité et traitement des données

Text is discarded after processing; only the tool name and anonymised technical details are kept as a run record.

Questions fréquentes

Is readability a Google ranking factor?

No. Google publishes no readability ranking signal. This score is a CRY helper metric meant to prompt a human review of the text.

How much text can I analyse?

As much as you can paste. Averages are more meaningful on longer passages; a few sentences will produce a noisy result.

Does it work for languages other than English?

Word and sentence counting works in any language. The syllable-based score is tuned per language, so treat cross-language comparisons as directional rather than absolute.
